Email: win32@admi.me. You can also use the support form in the app (Settings). We read every message and usually reply within a few days.
It helps to add your iPhone model and iOS version and, if the question is about a place, its coordinates (the share button on the map card copies them).
Frequently asked
Why is the number different from my GPS or from a sign on the summit?
The map shows the approximate elevation of the ground under the crosshair, taken from a terrain model. Sharp summits and cliffs can be smoothed in the model, so zoom in for the most detailed value. My Altitude shows the altitude of your phone from GPS, which is a different measurement and can differ indoors, on a bridge or on an upper floor.
Why does it say "Zoom in"?
When the map is zoomed far out, one point covers several kilometres, so a single height would mean little. Between those scales the app shows a rounded value.
Where do sea depths come from?
From the global GEBCO bathymetry data. Without an internet connection the app shows the depth band drawn on the map.
Does it work offline?
Only for map areas that are already loaded. Search and sea depths need an internet connection.
Can I use it for navigation?
No. AboveSea is a reference tool, not a surveying instrument, an aircraft altimeter or an emergency navigation aid.
How do I delete my data?
Saved places: Settings → Delete all saved places. Everything else is described in the privacy policy.
